  • SAFE at the World Seafood Congress 2017

    Mark your agenda now.

    The World Seafood Congress 2017 will take place from 10 to 13 September in Reykjavik Iceland.

    On the afternoon of TUESDAY 12 SEPT, SAFE consortium will lead two sessions.

    Abstracts still being accepted for speakers and for posters.

    Early bird registration open till 30 April.

     

  • SAFE Executive Board Meetings 2017-26 JUNE

    The upcoming 2017 meetings of the SAFE consortium Executive Board will be by teleconference on

    Monday 26 June at 14H CET

    Thursday 27 July at 14H CET

    Wednesday 23 August at 13H CET

    Log in as a SAFE member to download the Agenda and the Minutes of all SAFE EB meetings. Also available are the Agenda and the Minutes of all SAFE Member Meetings, including the Annual General Meetings. Once logged in, these documents become visible as a separate article in Past Events.

    If your institution is a SAFE member but you don't have a User Name and Password - send an email to Katherine Flynn with your 3 food safety interests and you will be registered.

    If your institution is not a SAFE member - you will find information here on how to apply.

DiSBA (Italy)

The Department of Bio-Agrifood Sciences (DiSBA) is one of the 7 Departments of the scientific network of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). The activities managed by the Department are performed in 9 Institutes, spread over the whole national territory and involving over 700 personnel.

DiSBA has been a member of the SAFE consortium since 2002.

AZTI-Tecnalia (Spain)

aztiAZTI-Tecnalia is a non-profit private foundation committed to the social and economical development of the marine environment and food sector and is part of Tecnalia Corporation (www.tecnalia.es). The Food Research Division at AZTI is aimed at improving the quality, productivity and innovation of food products and processes. It offers applied R&D on (i) Food Safety and Biodetection (ii) New Food Products (iii) Novel Technologies (iv) Sustainability of the Food Chain.

AZTI-Tecnalia has been a member of the SAFE consoritum since 2007.

esbESB-UCP is the College of Biotechnology of the Catholic University of Portugal. It is the country's leading supplier of research and education in Food Science and Technology, with more than 25 scientists on its staff and a 20 year track record in research and teaching. ESB is lcoated in Porto and is one of the major institutions in Portugal in food safety.

ESB has been a member of the SAFE consortium since 2007.

IBA (Romania)

IBA is a non-academic public-owned self-financing research organisation conducting food and nutritional research, product and technology development, lifelong learning programmes, and small-scale production of special foods. As one of the most prominent RTD entities within the country, IBA plays an important role in developing national food policies by providing expert advice to authorities.

IBA has been a member of the SAFE consortium since January 2010.
