AZTI-Tecnalia / SAFE consortium Predictive Microbiology Seminar of October 2010
This one day seminar, 'Advanced Tools for Shelf-Life and Safety Prediction in the Food Chain', was organised by SAFE member AZTI-Tecnalia together with the SAFE office, and was held on 25 October 2010 at the AZTI-Tecnalia laboratories in Derio (Bilbao) Spain.
The seminar brought together 32 experts in predictive microbiology from throughout Europe. The programme featured invited speakers, short oral presentations, posters and a breakout group session.The seminar goals were to
1) inform the audience about challenges and recent developments in predictive microbiology,
2) establish a common understanding about the state-of-the-art and
3) work on a consensus on the need for future developments and priorities for R&D in this area
