  • SAFE at the World Seafood Congress 2017

    Mark your agenda now.

    The World Seafood Congress 2017 will take place from 10 to 13 September in Reykjavik Iceland.

    On the afternoon of TUESDAY 12 SEPT, SAFE consortium will lead two sessions.

    Abstracts still being accepted for speakers and for posters.

    Early bird registration open till 30 April.

     

  • SAFE Executive Board Meetings 2017-23 AUGUST

    The upcoming 2017 meetings of the SAFE consortium Executive Board will be by teleconference on

    Wednesday 23 August at 13H CET

    Wednesday 20 September at 13H CET

    Wednesday 18 October at 13H CET

    Log in as a SAFE member to download the Agenda and the Minutes of all SAFE EB meetings. Also available are the Agenda and the Minutes of all SAFE Member Meetings, including the Annual General Meetings. Once logged in, these documents become visible as a separate article in Past Events.

    If your institution is a SAFE member but you don't have a User Name and Password - send an email to Katherine Flynn with your 3 food safety interests and you will be registered.

Membership in the European Association for Food Safety, SAFE consortium is open to any organisation that


1. provides research & development or other technology-related services related to food safety.

2. is managerially independent.

3. is of high scientific excellence.

4. wants to participate in the SAFE mission of Keeping Food Safety on the Agenda

Membership categories

SAFE consortium has two member categories:

1. Full members

Organisations that do food safety research & development or other technology-related services as their predominant activity.

These may be societies or associations (national or international); public or private research institutes; government food safety authorities; or universities or faculties, departments and/or research groups within them.

2. Associate members

Food-related industries that have activities related to food safety. Associate members enjoy all benefits of full SAFE membership except i) they may not serve on the SAFE Executive Board and ii) they may not vote at SAFE member meetings.

All scientific employees of SAFE member institutes may fully participate in SAFE initiatives.
Membership fees

1. Full Members:

  • €2000/year for large organisations, more than 250 scientific employees
  • €1000/year for small organisations, 250 or less scientific employees

2. Associate Members:

  • €4000/year for large organisations, more than 250 scientific employees
  • €2000/year for small organisations, 250 or less scientific employees
The demands for membership

a) the member institute or research group should have a scientific integrity guaranteed by the unlimited right to publish in the public interest about food safety issues and

b) the member institute should show academic quality, proven by publications in international scientific journals.

Register as an Individual Member of the SAFE consortium and access Member's Only pages including downloads of documents and presentations, plus receive SAFE announcements directly by email !

 

Registration is simple. Send an email to the SAFE Scientific Secretary, katherine.flynn@safeconsortium.org, from your institution email address and include your three Food Safety interests.
