People, Planet, Prosperity and the Food Chain

People, Planet, Prosperity and the Food Chain (P3FC) is the name for a series of articles, essays and commentaries by assorted authors which are published in various Food Industry journals. All works in the series address the challenges of producing safe, nutritious and affordable food and making it available to all people at affordable prices in a way which does not damage our planet nor exploit our fellow humans but which remains profitable for the companies involved. No easy task.

All authors are volunteers; food professionals from diverse employment sectors and from around the globe. Recentlly, articles have come from authors working for the food industry, food technology companies, the business world, academia and non-profit groups based in the UK, the USA, Germany, Portugal and Uganda to name a few. Articles have appeared in Food & Beverage International, New Food and Food Safety magazine and we plan to expand to other industry journals and even to consumer magazines.

If you'd like to read the P3FC articles, please log in as a SAFE member and visit the Publications link.

We are always looking for new views on this topic and all potential authors are welcome. If you are interested in contributing an article to the P3FC series, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , the Lead Editor.
